Why Won’t My Shark Ion Robot Connect To Wi-Fi?
As a Shark Ion Robot user, you would have tried every possible solution. But still, your shark Ion robot won’t connect to Wi-Fi.
It could mean two things.
One could be because the shark Ion Robot model that you’re using doesn’t feature Wi-Fi. To be sure of this, try searching for your model number and check if it supports Wi-Fi. For example, Shark Ion RV720 doesn’t have a Wi-Fi feature.
And the second thing could be that your robot vacuum has some technical fault. In that case, you should contact Shark Robot’s Support. Usually, they would fix any technical defects or software errors.
Still Can’t Connect Shark Robot To Wi-Fi?
Generally, you can fix the Shark Robot Vacuum not charging or connectivity issues with the troubleshooting tips. But if you still find yourself stuck, don’t fret or panic.
Just try to fix these factors causing connectivity issues.
Reason #1:
Your router’s firewall is blocking the signals from your Shark Robot. It can happen if you’ve got a new router and you can’t get it to reconnect to your Shark Robot. So try changing the settings of your firewall by going to your Router’s settings on a web browser. On the firewall/security tab, find “Port forwarding” and set it to allow.
Reason #2:
Your router isn’t compatible with the Shark Robot or its features. Check the user manual of your Shark Robot model to see if your router is compatible with your device. Though resetting the router can fix the problem, you might need to upgrade the router.
Reason #3:
There could be software bugs causing the connectivity issues. Try deleting the app and installing it back again.
Reason #4:
You might be using 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi on your new router. Make sure you switch it back to 2.4 GHz. Or better yet, create two separate SSIDs on your Wi-Fi (A shared 2.4/5ghz and a separate 2.4ghz.) Connect the 2.4ghz to your Shark Robot.
If nothing works out, your last resort should be to contact Shark Support. We highly recommend it as we don’t want you to ditch your newly-purchased smart device!
