Any smart homeowner can agree that Coredy Robot Vacuum offers impressive features.
I’ve been using it for a while now, and it works well.
However, recently, my Coredy Vacuum has been acting up.
Though it works perfectly, the Coredy vacuum red light on the charger starts to blink with beeps.
Luckily, I’ve found ways to fix this Coredy vacuum red light when charging issue!
In this post, I’ll guide you on how to resolve this Coredy red light with beeps problem in five easy ways.
1. Restart the Vac before charging it
You might already know this, but restarting your unit is the initial go-to solution.
And you should always consider this method as a starting point.
- So, unplug your Coredy robot vacuum cleaner from the wall socket.
- Press the “power off/on” button located on the Coredy vac.
- Before pressing the power on button, be sure to keep it this way for several seconds.
It should restart the device before you can put it back to charging.
2. Clean the charging contacts
Like other robotic vacuum cleaners, Coredy Vacuum should have charging contacts. It’s where the vacuum makes contact with the charging dock.
You should clean this area if there’s debris around it.
Here’s how you can clean it using the simple steps.
Step 1: First make sure that the vacuum is turned off by unplugging it.
Step 2: Now, it’s time to find the charging contacts of the vacuum. It should be the area where the vacuum makes contact with the charging dock or charging cable.
Step 3: Check the contacts for any debris, dust, or dirt that may be present.
Step 4: Gently use a soft, dry cloth or a small brush to remove any loose dirt or debris from the connector. Be careful not to apply force or damage to the contacts. Cleaning the surface area should be enough!
Step 5: Once you’ve cleaned the charging contacts, allow them to air dry before you reconnect them to the docking base.
Step 6: After the contacts are dry, plug the vacuum back into the charging dock or connect it to the charging cable.
Now check to see if the red light stops pulsating with beeps. If the red light doesn’t go away, you should try other solutions.
3. Reset the Vac
If restarting or cleaning methods don’t resolve the issue, it’s time to reset the vacuum. Chances are that it may or may not erase the settings. It is because the reset procedure of the Coredy vac varies a bit.
“But, how to reset Coredy Vacuum to its factory settings?” you wonder.
Well, it’s simple.
- You just need to find the power button on the vacuum and hold it down for several seconds.
- Release this button only when you hear the beep sound and a flashing light.
- Give it some time before you switch it back on. And put it on the docking base to charge it!
It should resolve the Coredy Vacuum red light on the charger issue!
4. Check the charging cable and connections
Because the red light appears while the Coredy vac is charging, it indicates it’s a charging issue.
And to fix it, you’ll need to inspect and check the charging cable and other connections.
First, inspect the charging cable for any damage.
You could also try plugging it into a different wall socket in case there’s a problem with the power source. Or, if you’ve got a spare charging cable, you should use it.
Second, inspect the charging contacts of the both Coredy vacuum and its docking base.
Clean them as I mentioned earlier in step 2.
5. Change the battery
If the red light on your Coredy Vac doesn’t go away, you’ll need to change the battery.
In a lot of cases, it’s always the battery that causes the vacuum to act up while it’s charging.
So if the original battery has used up all its power, it might be the right time to replace it.
That said, get a Coredy robot vacuum cleaner battery replacement and install it. It should fix the red light issue!
